How to spot a fake Gucci purse

One question I get asked a lot is: how do you spot a fake designer handbag? Each designer handbag has different attributes that will help you ensure it's the real thing. Let's start with Gucci first.

There are 4 main things that one must keep in mind when determining if a Gucci purse is authentic:
 1.) Serial number
 2.) Stitching
 3.) Hardware
4.)  Logo

**Look for the serial number.  It is a small leather tag that  can be found on the inside pocket of most Gucci purses or along the inside seam.

**With a Gucci handbag, the stitching should be flawless. Inconstitent stitching or unevenly placed stitches are a sure sign that it is a fake. The color of the thread should match the main color of the bag.

**The Gucci name should be engraved on all the hardware on the purse. (Zipper pulls, etc)

**Look at the logo. Misplaced logos are a sure sign that is a fake. If the handbag is leather, the logo should be engraved, not just printed on the leather.

Remember, there is a reason Gucci handbags are so expensive. They are an incredibly well made bag of the highest quality materials. Look and feel the leather. It should be thick and evenly colored. The hardware should be heavy. Gucci doesn't use second rate materials.

Lastly, always remember to buy from a trusted seller. If you are purchasing a new Gucci handbag, I would recommend the official Gucci website. If you are buying a used Gucci handbag, visit us at http://www.borsahandbags.com
